No
pruning necessary. Can be sheared after bloom
to encourage new blooms. |
Spireas
are low and mounding deciduous shrubs that provide
wonderful color and texture in the landscape.
They are very drought tolerant and require very
little if any care. The plants become covered
in flowers during early to mid-summer and if sheared
after bloom will continue to produce flowers into
fall.
We
use them all over the landscape in sunny beds
and foundation plantings. Because they are deciduous,
we usually plant lower growing evergreens in front,
or taller evergreens behind them.
'Gold
Mound' has bright golden-green, low and mounding
foliage and produces pink flowers.
'Little
Princess' has mint green, low and mounding foliage
and produces pink flowers.
'Anthony
Waterer' has mint green foliage with a more rounded
form and produces rose-mauve flowers. |
