Spent
blooms can be sheared off in early to mid
summer. This often encourages a flush of new
blooms. |
The
clove-scented flowers of the many varieties of
Dianthus gratianopolitanus come in shades
of pink, red, or white and cover the evergreen,
grey to blue-green foliage in spring and sporatically
through mid summer. ('Firewitch' is pictured right).
We typically use this plant as an edging in the
garden. Very heat and drought tolerant. |
