and Pest Control In The Landscape
While
the aforementioned strategies of plant vitality is generally
the best ammunition to fight off pest and predators of the
garden, there is a relatively new insecticide called Triple
Action that has some extraordinary characteristics.
The
advantages are that it is within the lowest toxicity category
for pesticide chemicals. This means that it is not among the
more dangerous pesticides to use. However it has very good
results on controlling a very wide verity of insects in the
garden. It works as a repellent and a killer.
While
Triple Action is indeed a broad spectrum insecticide there
is certain pest that it may be ineffective on.
Other
Insecticides:
Malathion
is another chemical we use to control stubborn insects such
as the white fly.
Tirazicide
is a granular chemical we use to control grubs and other insects.
We
use Liquid Sevin/Carbaryl as the most effective solution to
control Japanese beetlles.
We
use Fertilome Rose Fertilizer w/Systemic Insecticide to control
insects on roses.
