Below is a listing of top-performing groundcovers that we incorporate into the the landscape designs provided to our clients. These groundcovers have been selected based upon outstanding qualities and overall performance in Zone 8 of the Southeast. Groundcovers are useful to fill in the gaps; tying all of the other plants and trees in the landscape together, and as erosion control on slopes or embankments. As groundcovers fill in the gaps there is less need for mulch.
