Creeping
Fig is a highly attractive ornamnetal creeping
or climbing vine. We use it as both a groundcover
and a climber to climb walls, trees and other
structures. It clings by aerial roots along the
stems and has small, heart-shape green leaves.
We
plant Creeping Fig on south or eastern walls where
it will be protected from winter winds. This usually
helps to keep the foliage evergreen. A wonderful
groundcover or climbing vine offering a dramatic
effect in the landscape. We usually plant it at
the base of stucco, brick or stone walls where
it will form a groundcover and also climb. It
also fits in perfectly around the rocks and boulders
of a garden pond. |
